The rule of 3's

Since beginning this blog, I have been trying to gain knowledge of some of the "rules" of decorating. Something, I keep coming across is the rule of 3's. This really helps me when picking out decor for the different spaces in my home.
The rule of 3 is all about what size/color and the number of pieces you style together.
~You should try to select items that have 3 different heights-short, medium, and tall,
~Unify the 3 items using complementary colors, style, and theme
~Remember to decorate with things you love!

In the picture above you can see an example of a space in my house that I styled using the rule of
1. The book with the vase on it is counted as1
2. The sign is something that is medium in height
3. The lamp is another coordinating height

Here are some links to items from amazon that are great for using the rule of 3's in your own home!

Entryway table ideas

Entryway table decor I have always wanted a house with a big entryway...mostly so that I can have an entryway table. When a friend reached out and asked me to help her come up with some ideas for hers...I knew just the items to suggest :)  Here are the ideas that I had as well as some notes at the bottom as to how I would use some of the items.  Links to all products Candle Sticks Cherry blossom branches Picture frame Mirror Coffee table book Vase LED candle sticks Basket Lamp Flameless candles **The baskets are perfect for underneath a table.  I would put one on each end. I would also add some twine to the top of the vase.
