The rule of 3's

Since beginning this blog, I have been trying to gain knowledge of some of the "rules" of decorating. Something, I keep coming across is the rule of 3's. This really helps me when picking out decor for the different spaces in my home. The rule of 3 is all about what size/color and the number of pieces you style together.  ~You should try to select items that have 3 different heights-short, medium, and tall,   ~Unify the 3 items using complementary colors, style, and theme ~Remember to decorate with things you love!  In the picture above you can see an example of a space in my house that I styled using the rule of 3  1. The book with the vase on it is counted as1  2. The sign is something that is medium in height  3. The lamp is another coordinating height  Here are some links to items from amazon that are great for using the rule of 3's in your own home!

Some fresh ideas

A co-worker of mine was nice enough to share one of my recent blog posts on her Facebook page.  From that post, someone commented asking for some help updating her set of shelves. The picture that she posted is below. I absolutely love the industrial style shelves and was excited to come up with some ways that she could change up the decor she has on them.     *** The links below were created especially for my individual Amazon affiliate account. Each time a purchase is made from the individual links I receive a small commission. I really appreciate any support in trying to grow my business.
